Houston Music Theatre, Live 1967

LMLR Records, Blue and Black marble Colored Vinyl LP Album

This recording has NEVER been released on vinyl before. Originally intended to be the band’s 2nd LP, now released for the 1st time on a mono mix, meticulously restored to its intended form. Recorded in the ultra-modern Houston Music Theatre complete with a revolving stage in 1967. The 13th Floor Elevators, led by Roky Erickson’s blistering vocals and Tommy Hall’s otherworldly electric jug, were in their prime, and this performance solidified their place as pioneers of the psychedelic sound.
