We lost the world music superstar Astrud Gilberto this past year, but her amazing recordings will continue forever. This 1977 Gilberto produced album gets its first offical release in decades. The long out of print Image Records release "That Girl From Ipanema" features a bevy of jazz greats like Chet Baker, Ron Carter, Don Sebesky, Dom Um Ramao, Will Lee and the great Phila. International working crew of Co-Producer Vince Montana, Cotton Kent, Larry Washington and many others. Features a funk bossa nova jam on her classic "The Girl From Ipanema", as well as songs from Nilsson, Cole Porter and a duet with Chet Baker on "Faraway." Mastered impeccably by Joe Reagoso, this beautiful album will be presented on very cool Aqua colored vinyl.
